a. it's on saturday 2nd september from 2pm. we are running a booking session to allocate slots in the pool for 2pm and 2.20pm. q. where will it be? a. at queens leisure centre, cathedral road, derby, de1 3pa. there is limited parking directly outside the leisure centre, but there are a number of car parks nearby. q. is it safe? a. completely. all our instructors are fully trained and qualified and have years of experience. we will go at your pace and only do what you are comfortable with. q. do i need to bring any equipment? a. no. we will supply all the equipment. just bring your swimming costume and towel just like a normal trip to the swimming pool. wearing an old t-shirt in the pool, and bringing a spare pair of socks is also not a bad idea. q. do i need to be a strong swimmer? a. no. being able to swim 50 metres is usually enough. having some confidence in the water is helpful but you don’t need to be a very strong swimmer. q. am i fit enough to experience a try dive? a. we ask all participants to complete a medical self-declaration form. if you have a medical history of diabetes, blackouts (epilepsy etc.), perforated eardrums, high blood pressure, heart disease, any lung or respiratory disorder (such as asthma) or dependence on drugs, then specialist advice must be obtained before participating in a try dive. q. is there an age limit? a. ideally we say its suitable for children above 12 years. q. how do i book? a. please e-mail us at [email protected] and we will arrange a slot on the day for you. we are asking people to book in advance so we can allocate numbers at the right time. q. what does it cost?
